Stevie J On Producing Jay-Z's "Ride Or Die," Says Timbaland Inspired "Notorious Thugs" [VIDEO]
No matter how much ratchetness Stevie J relays to audiences tuning into VH1's Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta on a weekly basis, he is still the guy that produced Jay-Z's "Ride Or Die." Truth be told, the former Bad Boy Hitman's production catalog is thicker than Joseline Hernandez and is stocked with hits that will get any club turnt up. You're talking about joints like the Notorious B.I.G.'s "Mo Money Mo Problems" and Diddy's "Been Around The World" & "Victory," to name a few. We did ask Stevie J, and Joseline, questions relating to their reality show, but that's for a later post. Right here, we asked the struggle face king to speak on some of the best joints from his muliplatinum discography. On Jay-Z's Pastor Ma$e eviscerating "Ride Or Die": "I use to go to Chelsea Piers and go shopping all the time and I saw him downtown, I played him this beat in the Village there. And he liked the beat, we just went in and started creating this song around it but I had no idea what was doing on with him and Pastor Mason, you know what I'm sayin'. So that got out of hand a little bit. I got a walk through...Puff and the guys came through. I'm like, 'I didn't know nothing about nothing.'"
