Birdman - Y U Mad feat Nicky Minaj & Lil Wayne [Official Video]

‘Had the game on lock and gave the key to Nicki’ – Wayne

Baby, Wayne and Nicki give fans a classic Cash Money video complete with scenes featuring money stacks for breakfast, lavish Maybach rides and plenty of swimsuit models in their latest visual for ‘Y U Mad’.

While Birdman keeps it gangster (and steps his wardrobe up) in the video, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj show off their silly personalities. Wayne dorks out in a pair of Wayfarers, a ridiculous backpack and a huge, fuzzy, red hat while Nicki butches it up dressed as the female Weezy. She dons a pair of Adidas Jeremy Scott Panda Bear shoes and crazy blonde dreads but she doesn’t keep the guy gear on for the entire video. She re-ups in a strappy, white bathing suit while in a press conference scene with about 50 golden mics. Through visuals she wants us to know that ‘she’s winning but she’s still bored’ and that’s ‘Y U Mad’. SOURCE

Frank Ocean Named GQ’s “Rookie of the Year”/BEYONCE COVER [Video]

Frank Ocean caps off the end of an amazing year with a huge co-sign in GQ’s “Men of the Year” issue.

The singer/songwriter isn’t just featured because he looks good in a suit. GQ named Frank Ocean its “Rookie of the Year” because of his 10-month shoot to musical stardom. It was just in February that Frank posted a free album to his Tumblr called Nostalgia/Ultra. The success of its tracks “Novacane” and “Swim Good” got the album so much attention it infamously got stars like Beyonce, Jay-Z and Kanye West to take notice, which led to him working with them.

In the behind-the-scenes video from his photo shoot, Frank shares highlights from his year and gives insight on his hobbies and personal style. Apparently, he learned less is more from Jay-Z, had to watch his sneaker game around Kanye and really appreciated the release of Adele’s 21 album.

Watch the video below:

“The one non-musical thing I learned from Kanye is that you should always choose your sneakers wisely. I really appreciated Adele’s 21 album. But the album that probably made me most happy, I must admit–and this is kind of self promotion, but it’s not me–but when Tyler [the creator] put out that Goblin album, I was really, really happy.

Frank Ocean Sings Beyonce’s “Miss You” Live In New Orleans

Frank Ocean doesn’t do a lot of live performances without the rest of the Odd Future kids. But he has embarked out on his own for a six-city tour, which kicked off Saturday night in his hometown of New Orleans. During his intimate performance, Frank sang Nostalgia/Ultra‘s Internet-to-radio hits like “Novacane” and “Swim Good,” but in true Frank Ocean fashion, he slipped a stripped down and emotional version of “Miss You,” a song he penned for Beyonce, into the setlist. Maybach Getting the Axe in 2013!?!

Mercedes Pulling the Plug On Maybach In 2013! Don’t worry, Rick Ross’ label is still very much in tact; however, the same came not be said for Mercedes Benz’s Maybach brand which was just as much a staple in Hip-Hop as was Cristal, Rolls Royce Phantom’s, Jacob’s “iced-out” jewelry, and more. A Mercedes Benz insider said the following: “We’ve come to the conclusion that it is better to cut our losses with Maybach than to continue into an uncertain future with a brand that has failed to live up to original sales expectations.” And now, a moment of silence awesomeness for Maybach…   SOURCE

T.I. Defends His Wife; Says Gays Are Too Sensitive

Scroll down for updates…

The self-proclaimed King of the South, rapper T.I., graces VIBE magazine‘s year end Dec. 2011 issue. It’s a good thing this is a holiday weekend or T.I.’s publicists would be working overtime trying to put out the fires that his mouth ignited.

T.I. had a lot to say about The Gays who currently wield the balance of power in the entertainment industry. Most of what the rubber band man had to say about The Gays was selectively edited by VIBE magazine.

T.I. on all Americans having equal rights:

“Man, I will say this, the funniest joke I ever heard [comedian] Tracy [Morgan] say during a stand-up was, ‘C’mon man, I think gay people are too sensitive. If you can take a dick, you can take a joke.’ [Cracks up laughing.] That shit was funny to me. And it’s kind of true. They’re like,‘If you have an opinion against us, we’re gonna shut you down.’ … That’s not American. If you’re gay you should have the right to be gay in peace, and if you’re against it you should have the right to be against it in peace.’

But T.I., 31, did have some strong words for rapper 50 Cent and others who criticized his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, 36, for not taking the drug charge that sent her man back to federal prison for 11 months.

T.I.: “I’ma tell you, 50 Cent and anybody else, we not gonn’a have no discussion about what my ole lady should’a, would’a, couda done for anything as it pertains to me,” begins his rant. “We ain’t gonn’a do that. I’m the only one in my family that’s gonna take a lick when it pertains to the legal system. Since me, none of my other family members have seen a jail cell. Nobody. I’m the last one. The buck stops here. I feel that a person that stands behind [his woman for a criminal charge] is a coward anyway.” VIBE: I doubt she would have gotten any time. “T.I.: She wasn’t gonna catch it period, ’cause I’m there. That wasn’t even a consideration. Even if she asked me to I would’ve been like, “Nah, you trippin’. “ So you didn’t feel you were more valuable to your family, employees and business partners on the street? T.I.: “That’s a discussion between me and another man. Not with the mother of my children. Not with the nurturer of my household.”

The Dec. 2011 issue featuring T.I. on the cover hits newsstands on December 6th!

UPDATE I:

50 Cent responded to T.I.’s statements in VIBE magazine on his Twitter page:

50cent: If U can get 5 years easy 4 some sh*t and I’m the support of my family. Why would it be wrong if ya lady had to take probation? Shit she ballin to lol

Rihanna Tops U.K. Albums Chart, Scores New Records

Rihanna fever is officially sweeping the United Kingdom, as the Barbadian superstar lands a simultaneous No. 1 single and album for the second time this year, and several new U.K. chart records in the process. Meanwhile, "Now! That's What I Call Music 80" (EMI TV/Universal Music TV) creates a record of its own, debuting atop the compilation chart with first-week sales of 296,000, the biggest opening sale for any album in the U.K. market this year, either a compilation or by an individual artist. But that's still well down on the initial 333,000 achieved by "Now 77," its counterpart in last year's festive market.

Official Charts Company sales data published Sunday (Nov. 27) showed her "Talk That Talk" album (Def Jam/Universal) going straight to No. 1 with first-week sales of 163,000. The single "We Found Love" (Def Jam/Universal), featuring Calvin Harris, started another week at No. 1, its sixth non-consecutive frame at the top.

Rihanna's 'Love' Still Leads Hot 100, Katy Perry Back in Top 10

Rihanna becomes the first female artist to achieve the coveted feat of simultaneous album and single chart-toppers twice in a calendar year, after the "Loud" album and "What's My Name" track, featuring Drake, were both No. 1 in January. It's the first time any artist has secured that honor for close to 40 years: T. Rex did it in May 1972 with the album "Bolan Boogie" and single "Metal Guru," six months after leading the way with both "Electric Warrior" and "Telegram Sam."

Rihanna is also the first solo female to score two different No. 1 albums in a calendar year. She extends her lead in total weeks atop the U.K. singles chart this year, now standing at seven (also including one for "What's My Name"), and "We Found Love" is her sixth No. 1 single in the territory in consecutive five years, another record for a female artist.

Among other details of Rihanna's stellar chart week, "Loud" maintains a top 30 place in its 54th appearance, dipping 23-27. Drake's "Take Care" single (Cash Money/Universal Island), on which Rihanna features, climbed 12-9 (his album of the same name dropping 5-20). Three "Talk That Talk" album tracks sold well enough as individual tracks to make the new top 75: the title song, featuring Jay-Z, at No. 25, "You Da One" at No. 39 and "Where Have You Been" No. 61.

The artist album chart also saw a No. 2 debut for pop band One Direction's "Up All Night" (Syco Music/Sony Music Entertainment), with 138,000 sales. As Michael Bublé's "Christmas" (Reprise/Warner Music) fell from the top to No. 3, retiring Irish chart regulars Westlife came in at No. 4 with RCA/Sony's new "Greatest Hits" set. The quartet, whose worldwide sales are estimated by Sony at 44 million, will go their separate ways after a farewell tour next May.

"50 Words For Snow" (Fish People/EMI), Kate Bush's second new album of the year following May's "Director's Cut," debuted at No. 5, three places behind the previous release. Nickelback's "Here and Now" (Roadrunner) became their fifth consecutive U.K. top ten album at No. 10.

Below Rihanna on the singles chart, 2009 "X Factor" finalist Olly Murs debuted at No. 2 with "Dance With Me Tonight" (Epic/Syco Music/Sony Music Entertainment). The track had led the way in midweek sales data but ultimately lost out to "We Found Love," finishing with 74,000 units to Rihanna's 79,000. Swedish DJ-producer Avicii, aka Tim Bergling, debuted at No. 4 with "Levels" (Universal Island).

Also new inside the singles top ten were "Down For Whatever" (Universal) by Kelly Rowland featuring the Wavs, at No. 6, and 2010 "X Factor" contestant Rebecca Ferguson's "Nothing's Real But Love" (Epic/Sony Music Entertainment) at No. 10. En Vogue's early 1997 U.K. top five hit "Don't Let Go (Love)" reappeared at No. 23 after the song was performed by "X Factor" contestant Little Mix.

The surest sign of the impending holiday season came in the reappearance of the two most durable festive perennials, re-entering the top 75 and certain to chart prominently again in the coming weeks: "Fairytale of New York" (Warner Bros./Warner Music) by the Pogues featuring Kirsty MacColl at No. 47 and Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" (Columbia/Sony Music Entertainment) at No. 64.
